Scratchiest of the scratches

I've got a new glue gun and wanted to test it out. It's small and crappy. Anyway, here is the result. This is such a scratchbuild it is really made of household trash and chunks of cardboard. Can you identify the pieces?

This is a high power source energy weapon, making the ship a single huge cannon itself. The turrets on top are from the Revell Yamato set I did last week.

The little round things are rigging slots of which more are occupied on the mining barge I did earlier. The yellow lines are window lights obviously.

Rear end with engine lights.

A black undercoat and two very rough layers of drybrushing make it look well worn. The glue taking these shapes around the bridge looks like the hull is melted from some sort of attack.

  2. Very creative! I can see this old space freighter hauling a circus train slowly through space. Nice work, Andrew.

    1. Thank you but I actually forgot to say: this is a warhorse and not a packhorse!

  4. OK I'll be the first to guess the pieces... 2 lids from plastic bottles/containers, 4 matchboxes, a large box could be anything really (toothpaste?) and those small circles could be coins or cardboard cut outs.

anyway great work, whatever its made from.

    1. Thanks! You guessed almost everything right: the circles are cut-outs from the same cardboard I made movement trays of. The biggest box is a Revell enamel paint containter which fits 4 or 5 of those small buckets.
